This bidirectional SFP+ transceiver operates plug-and-play in Cisco SFP+ ports, enabling 10 Gigabit Ethernet over a single strand of single-mode fibre.- 10GBASE-BX40-D standard compliance guarantees interoperability with matching upstream BiDi transceivers- SFP+ form factor supporting 10.3125 Gbps data rate over OS2 single-mode fibre up to 40km- Transmits at 1330nm and receives at 1270nm via simplex LC connector- Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) support per SFF-8472 MSA for real-time diagnostics of optical power, temperature, and bias current- Hot-swappable design allows installation and removal without powering down the host switch or router- Must be deployed in pairs with a complementary upstream transceiver (1270nm TX / 1330nm RX) such as the SFP-10G-BX40U-I
